So today I was trying to figure out the special cycles on my washing machine because I needed to wash a sweater. One of the cycles had one word, which made me laugh because when I looked it up it said "to evacuate." Now for the life of me I can't figure out what that wash cycle does. But yes, my washing machine has an evacuate cycle on it. Welcome to Turkey.
My name is Allyson. I have recently started a new adventure. I got married to the most amazing man!! The Lord continues to teach and mold me in every area and time of life I'm in. If you are viewing this you probably know me. If not I hope you come to know the Christ, the one that is the Source of all Life, and the reason I do everything. I hope you enjoy. Phil. 1:20-21

Sweet little covered ladies.
I was running in the park the other day, and my face was red. My face always gets red whenever I work out in any way, some of you know that, mainly my soccer girls and Ben Swan probably. I had forgotten how red it gets though. Until a little old lady stopped me when I was running, and said "Kosma!" Which means don't run. I thought it was so cute, I was out of breath but I said okay and walked away until she stopped watching me. The little old ladies here are so cute, and she was worried about me. Fun times in Istanbul.

ONE YEAR
A year ago today, I arrived in Turkey. In some ways I cannot believe it has been that long, and in other ways I definitely can. All I can say is that God is good, and faithful and I am thankful for the amazing support and love from all of you. It has been a full year. Full of learning; learning language, culture, about myself, about the Lord, about His faithfulness, about so much that I can't put into a small little blog. I kept thinking about the past year of my life today, and the year to come. I pray that both would honor the Lord completely, and that He would be known and worshiped more.
Thank you all for the amazing support you have been to me. I can't put into words how thankful I am for my amazing family and friends. I love you all.
See you in a year.

It's Bazaar Day!
Yes folks this is my bazaar. We have it in my neighborhood once a week. Every Monday it comes to our area of town. I buy my fruit, and vegetables there. I have also bought clothes there, random things. You can get a lot of things you wouldn't think of at the bazaar. Just wanted to show you a little glimpse into my life.
